On 17 June 2019, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) delivered essential medical examination and healthcare support equipment to Posyandu Kencana I, situated in the densely populated area of Petogogan, South Jakarta. This initiative embodies YIIM’s institutional mission to uplift community well-being and enhance the quality of life through accessible, high-standard local healthcare facilities.

Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Post) plays a vital frontline role in monitoring maternal, child, and geriatric health across Indonesian neighborhoods. Through this empowerment assistance, YIIM equipped both the toddler unit (Posyandu Balita) and the senior citizen unit (Posyandu Lansia) with standardized diagnostic and health checkup tools to bolster regular community health screenings.

According to program records from May 2019, Posyandu Balita Kencana I regularly monitored 94 toddler patients, providing crucial health assessments and supplemental nutritional intervention for children at risk of malnutrition and acute stunting. Concurrently, Posyandu Lansia Kencana I provided routine geriatric checkups and preventative health monitoring for 50 elderly residents in the neighborhood.

The provision of proper healthcare equipment enables local health cadres to conduct accurate diagnostic measurements, facilitate timely nutritional interventions, and maintain comprehensive health tracking for vulnerable community members. This empowerment program actively supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, notably SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.

YIIM remains committed to strengthening community healthcare infrastructure and hopes this medical equipment will deliver sustainable benefits, fostering a healthier and more resilient neighborhood in Petogogan.
