Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) celebrated its 11th anniversary of service on Thursday, 19 June 2025, at the Kelimutu Hall, Sotis Hotel, Jakarta. The event also marked an important leadership transition as the foundation formally welcomed its newly appointed Chairperson.

Held under the theme “11 Years of Inspiring Change,” the celebration reflected YIIM’s commitment to collaboration and its consistent work alongside communities across four program pathways: Community Empowerment, Education, Social and Religious Service, and Environmental Action.

Over more than a decade, YIIM has reached over 100,000 beneficiaries across Indonesia through programs designed to expand opportunity, strengthen community capacity, respond to social needs, and support environmental sustainability.

The anniversary brought together YIIM’s founder, Board of Trustees, Supervisory Board, donors, strategic partners, volunteers, and beneficiaries. Their presence reflected the collective effort and trust that have sustained the foundation’s work throughout its 11-year journey.

A central part of the event was the leadership handover from Chrisbiantoro, who served as YIIM’s Chairperson from 2019 to 2024, to Normansyah Kusuma, the newly appointed Chairperson for the 2025–2030 term.

Reflecting on his tenure, Chrisbiantoro expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the cooperation and support he had received.

“This 11-year journey has been filled with challenges and valuable lessons. I believe that, under its new leadership, YIIM will continue to grow and extend its impact even further,” Chrisbiantoro said.

In his inaugural address, Normansyah Kusuma emphasized his commitment to continuing and strengthening YIIM’s work while adapting the foundation’s approach to remain relevant and impactful amid evolving social challenges.

“Together with the team, I will preserve the spirit of mutual cooperation and integrity that has always served as YIIM’s foundation,” Normansyah said.

The event included the traditional cutting of a celebratory tumpeng, followed by the launch of a souvenir perfume product developed by Andi Yogie Supardi, an alumnus of YIIM’s 2024 perfume-making training program.

The product launch highlighted how YIIM’s programs can create opportunities that continue beyond the training period. It also placed a program alumnus at the centre of the celebration as an active contributor to the foundation’s ongoing journey.

A video documenting YIIM’s work over the previous 11 years was screened during the event, inviting attendees to reflect on the foundation’s milestones, partnerships, community relationships, and lessons learned. The celebration concluded with a group photograph.

The warm and emotional atmosphere surrounding the farewell and welcome reflected both appreciation for the outgoing leadership and optimism for the foundation’s next chapter.

YIIM’s 11th anniversary was more than a commemoration of its past. It marked a renewed commitment to strengthen collaboration, uphold organizational integrity, and continue working with communities to inspire meaningful and sustainable change across Indonesia.
